I am excited to announce the launch of a new online presence for HandsOn Network Generated by Points of Light Institute! This new site is user-friendly and will serve as a forum for interactivity and communication around the Network. It is my hope that the Web site will be a hub for storytelling and a place for all of us to share inspirational stories of volunteerism and to celebrate people creating real change in their communities. The site also provides instant access to our social media networks, including a blog, our Twitter feed, and our presence on both Facebook and YouTube. Essentially, the new Web site has the potential generate real energy and excitement around service and volunteerism, engaging volunteers and providing an outlet for them to respond to President Obama’s call to service.
