Position Title: Regional Manager, Member Services

Position Reports to: Regional Vice President, Member Services for HandsOn Network
Position Summary
The Regional Manager is a regionally based member of the HandsOn Network's Affiliate Advancement Department, who works primarily with the Regional Vice President, Member Services to serve and support over 240 affiliated organizations of HandsOn Network. The Department is led by the Vice President of Affiliate Advancement. The Regional Manager is primarily responsible for leveraging opportunities for capacity building for affiliated organizations across the network, with a possible focus on the northern or western part of the US. This includes providing timely service and technical assistance, facilitating virtual and real time convening and gathering opportunities; advancing and managing opportunities for affiliate leadership and participation in developing and bringing successful practices to scale, and coordinating and/or fulfilling activities to help fulfill and fully realize the benefits of membership with HandsOn Network.
The Regional Manager also plays a critical capacity building role by fostering low cost, high impact investments by fostering various opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, elevating, replicating and scaling innovation and emerging models and connecting the network through regional events as well as virtual support.
Travel is expected at 50-60% of the time. The Regional Manager, along with all members of the Affiliate Advancement Team, has shared responsibility for leading and supporting outcomes driven by organizational goals and strategic imperatives.

Essential Responsibilities:
Affiliate Advancement Support and Development
- Provide leadership with affiliate member services and support with an emphasis on projects and activities that add value to membership and that achieve "right touch" relationships with the membership.
- Support implementation of training, technical assistance, and consulting strategies for affiliates with specific focus on helping affiliates to achieve impact.
- Initiate, support and share affiliate leadership in national task forces, advisory committees and working groups in order to achieve network-wide scale, connectivity and impact.
- The Regional Manager is responsible for working in collaboration with the Learning and Leadership Team to inform content for curriculum development, webinars and resources and material that will result in improved performance of affiliates in programmatic and organizational development that support the growth and development of affiliates.
Memberhship
- Regional manager will be responsible to activate membership benefits and communication to the field.
- Regional manager will coordinate and support membership processes.
- Regional manager is responsible to implement communication plan and protocol established by Affiliate Advancement.
- Regional manager will monitor the progress of new member organizations and/or new affiliate staff to ensure effective implementation of membership requirements and to support member affiliates in activating their use of member benefits.
National Program Management Technical Assistance
- Regional manager will support network-wide initiatives facilitated with affiliates including National Service participation (AmeriCorps/VISTA), Seasons of Service, Make A Difference Day, National Volunteer Week, national partnership development, and ad hoc initiative development.
- Regional manager will take leadership with HandsOn Network events that incorporate affiliates including Regional Gatherings, Ad-Hoc affiliate gatherings, advisory and task force meetings, etc.
- Regional Manager will support affiliates in meeting contract fulfillment responsibilities as needed and in partnership with Programs and Development Departments of HandsOn Network.
National Conference and Stakeholder Gatherings (T & TA)
- Regional Vice President and Regional Manager are responsible for organizing regional gatherings of affiliates including the pre-conference, held at National Conference each year, and other ad-hoc gatherings of key stakeholders to continuously improve best practices as well as to bring innovative solutions to scale.
- At the direction of the Regional Vice President, the Regional Manager is responsible for coordinating collaborative planning processes and implementation of logistical details for all stakeholder gatherings both in person and virtually (webinars, etc.).
Technology & Knowledge Management
- Regional Manager is responsible for leveraging best practices and programs in the field, sharing best practices through the Affiliate Member Center and via other communication vehicles.
- Regional Manager is responsible to support Affiliate Advancement team data management, including updated affiliate profiles and ongoing communications.
- As new and emerging practices emerge, regional managers are uniquely situated to initiate replication and scaling protocols to fully leverage and catalogue these practices to advance the public domain. Bringing these practices to the attention of national staff and communicating these practices to the field is an essential responsibility of the Regional Manager.
National Brand Alignment
- Regional Managers are responsible for ensuring compliance with national brand standards at the local level through the dissemination of brand assets
- Regional Managers represent HandsOn Network via conference attendance, speaking engagements and general relationship building
Administrative Duties
- Data management: Salesforce, website updates, etc.
- Administrative duties (check requests, timesheets, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and three or more years of desired experience
- Master's Degree is beneficial, but not required
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in an affiliate environment at either national or local level
- Strong understanding of affiliate models, national program implementation and affiliate relationship management
