The Conference Communications Manager reports to the Director, Conference and Meetings. Key goals and responsibilities include:
- Work with VP Communications and Events on development of comprehensive communications/marketing plan for conference
- Serves as liaison between the core conference team and the External Affairs department
- Coordination of joint CNCS & POLI meetings related to conference marketing and communications
- Coordinates the printing and vendor relationships as they relate to marketing/communications.
- Identification of program content development to be shared through various communication channels
- Identification of timely information updates required Writing copy for the conference website marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
- Concept, write, prepare conference press releases.
- Concept, write, prepare conference print advertisements.
- Write and prepare announcements of new conference elements.
- Develop all information content of Web site including regular updates of website
- Assist in the writing and placement of articles in newspapers, business and trade publications and on Web pages.
- Write and produce flyers for selected conference events
- Write and produce select conference event invitations
- Maintain listings, revisions and inventory of all conference collateral materials.

Successful candidates will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in communications or marketing.
- Experience in brand management and communicating to mass/multiple audiences.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and creative approach to strategy development.
- A demonstrated ability to develop creative donor, media and sponsorship materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- A commitment to community service and significant experience in the non-profit sector
- Excellent knowledge of Windows application PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and graphic software.
