2010 CVC of the Year – Northern New Jersey Business Volunteer Council

Northern New Jersey Business Volunteer Council (BVC) mobilizes more than 30,000 employee volunteers every year, with a specific focus on impacting the lives of low-income children and families.  The BVC member companies represent every sector of the economy and range in size from small, local businesses to major international companies.   The BVC’s activities revolve around four annual strategic initiatives designed to address literacy, emotional well-being, hunger and education.  Through these initiatives, the BC has raised more than $1 million over the last ten years.  By building a comprehensive annual plan, forming strong community alliances and by providing great networking opportunities, the BVC not only met, but surpassed their 2009 annual goals. Learn more about the BVC.
