Create a Container Garden Fundraiser

A food bank is a place where food is donated and made available to those in need.  More than volunteers or food donations, food banks need cash donations.   An easy way to raise money, learn something new, and help your community is to start a Container Garden, plan a Garden Sale, and donate those proceeds to a food bank.  If a whole school decides to take on this project, each grade could pick a different food to plant.  Students could rotate responsibilities throughout the harvest, and once their food produces, they could sell what they have grown to their local community.  These proceeds could then be donated to a local food bank!  While this playbook is designed specifically to lead the implementation of Container Gardens in schools, any individual, business, or organization could easily use this as a guide!
