The Entertainment Industry Foundation harnesses the collective power of the entertainment industry and channels its unique assets to raise awareness and funds for critical health, educational and social issues in order to make a positive impact in our community and throughout the nation.
The Entertainment Industry Foundation has mobilized the entertainment community around a groundbreaking initiative designed to inspire a new era of service and volunteerism. This multi-year campaign, called "iParticipate," hopes to make service a part of who we are as Americans and show what we can achieve when we all pull together.
National Cartoonist Society members have continued to serve the nation in person and through their art. Teams of cartoonists have toured war zones and military installations around the world in cooperation with the USO. Others have entertained at VA hospitals. NCS members have also contributed to many U.S. government programs; their efforts have benefitted NASA, USIA, the Treasury Department Savings Bond division and the President's Council on Physical Fitness. Other beneficiaries have been the Boy Scouts of America, the American Red Cross and the United Nations.
Serve.gov is your online resource for not only finding volunteer opportunities in your community, but also creating your own. Use Serve.gov to help you do your part. America’s foundation will be built one community at a time – and it starts with you.
Children for Children mobilizes the energy, ingenuity and compassion of young people, beginning at an early age, to discover their power and potential to solve real world problems through volunteer opportunities and service learning programs that instill a lifelong commitment to service.
The LEAGUE combines service, learning, and friendly “co-opetition” with live, interactive events. From planting trees to collecting food for the hungry, kids are returning millions of dollars worth of value back to the community. We believe once people are inspired and once they are given the opportunity, change happens. The infrastructure for change is in place. The tools are now available. A movement of good is happening. As individuals, we may be humble about our contributions but we are glad to shine a spotlight on others as wonderful examples.
