Wrapping up a Hallmark Year

2009 was a banner year for Points of Light Institute and its three business units: HandsOn Network. MissionFish and the Civic Incubator. HandsOn Network welcomed new affiliates and celebrated a menu of successful signature service events. The first few days of the Give A Day. Give A Disney Day. program have been an awesome reminder of the passion of the volunteer spirit. Across the U.S., tens of thousands of volunteers have already made a commitment to get active in their communities.

For volunteers who experienced difficulties during the registration process, we have added capacity to the system and registration should now be a smooth process.

Thanks to our passionate volunteers, and widespread national interest in community involvement, there has been a strong response to the Give A Day. Get A Disney Day. program!

Unfortunately, the large numbers of volunteers attempting to register has created periodic slowdowns in the network, resulting in difficulty completing the registration process.

We apologize for the inconvenience and want you to know that Disney Parks is working to add capacity to the system to provide a better registration experience.
