AmeriCorps Alums Eli J. Segal Award Winners - Arianne McGinnis & Elliot McGann of Hope Grows

Hope Grows, located in Sylvania, GA, is a new farm committed to growing what's good for the community: farmers and food with integrity. "Our integrity is grounded deeply in the land and in relationships."
Arianne and Elliot are saving lives through healthy and organic food practices that are being adopted by the community-at-large. This endeavor has real vision, is already having a significant impact and 5k from the Segal Award will be used to purchase much needed equipment to help them operate more efficiently.
AmeriCorps Alums would also like to recognize our First Runner-Up, Sarita Hartz of The Zion Project and Second Runner-Up, Sabrina Hilton of Green Beings Urban Farm. Both of these alumni-led organizations are doing great things, please check them out!
You can see more of Hope Grows inspirational and impactful farm on AmeriCorps Alums TV or read more about the award winners on the AmeriCorps Alums Blog.
Eli Segal started the AmeriCorps Alums Entrepreneurship Award during his life to recognize alumni with similar promise. To honor Eli’s life and to build upon his legacy, AmeriCorps Alums awards one alumnus each year who has demonstrated an outstanding entrepreneurial commitment to service beyond their term with AmeriCorps. Along with recognition among peers, in the media and our online networks, the award entails a valuable prize cash prize of $5,000 and in-person recognition at an award ceremony.
We are proud to honor the spirit of Eli Segal through this award and know that he would be more than please with Arianne and Elliot!
