LEAD - a Get HandsOn Summit





Social innovators shared interesting experiences such as locating disaster victims with cell phones, quickly gathering thousands of volunteers for one-day projects and organizing person-to-person service efforts through Web-based technologies and other tools.
Community organizers, government and nonprofit leaders, corporate community affairs directors, students, social media experts and volunteer leader participated in LEAD - A Get HandsOn! Summit. These individuals came to embrace new ways of engaging people to create citizen-centered change.

Brown, CNN's Jessica Yellin, Executive Producer of ABC News' This Week Ian Cameron and public innovation expert and host of the LEAD Summit Richard Harwood explored how new media and technology are changing the nonprofit and service landscape.
