Got a passion to see technology revolutionize the lives of nonprofits and the communities they serve? If you can answer yes to these questions, check out HandsOn Tech! HandsOn Tech, in partnership with Google, will place twenty-eight AmeriCorps VISTA members in eight cities across the country to increase the effective use of technology in nonprofit organizations. Developing technology capacity will help organizations to address mission critical activities more effectively and efficiently, ultimately improving outcomes for children and families. VISTA members will be provided extensive training opportunities to support their ability to apply technology solutions in the NPO sector.

Application for the HandsOn Tech is a 3 step process:

Create a 2 minute instructional video on technology solutions in the nonprofit sector. (Here are two examples: : Collaboration and Web Conferencing with Yuuguu   vs. How To Create a Website with Software)

OR

Create a website with basic instruction and resource links for a nonprofit technology solution. (An example: a simpler version of this tutorial site for Google sites)

• Complete the application on this site, including the link to your video or website.
• Once you have submitted your application, please complete the AmeriCorps*VISTA application on the AmeriCorps Portal. Applicants selected to move on to the next level of screening will be notified via email.
